Tantalizing Thursday
As I was working on my Marvelous Monday posts and uploading pictures, I came across my pictures from last Thursday when I took all four children to the beach to swim and play. It was a beautiful afternoon, one we all enjoyed. The photos attached here are my first attempt at using the rule of thirds while taking the photos. Also, photographed are my two children and my boyfriend’s two children. I hope you enjoy!

More of our Marvelous Monday…
These pictures were taken at the Wana Waves Resort in Shipshewana, Indiana. It’s an indoor waterpark that is attached to a hotel but also open to the public. We found a great coupon online and took the kids for an afternoon of fun. Again, I tried to apply the rule of thirds to the photos as I took them, so they are all unedited.

The indoor water park, Shipshewana, Indiana
The water park, as best I could get it. There’s a lazy river, a “fort”, a kiddie pool, a large double slide, and an adults only hot tub. It was really nice!

Different angle in the building. This one is of the kiddie pool.

The fort. The bucket is in mid-tip. Water in action!
This fort had multiple water slides attached to it, as well as a HUGE bucket at the top that once filled with water, tipped and dumped the water on all the bystanders. Of course, they are all standing there, waiting for it to happen!

My children awaiting the big dump!
Another mid-dump (of water) action shot. The children waiting below are mine!

Our Marvelous Monday!
This past Monday, my mother and I took my children to Shipshewana, Indiana. Although we had hoped it would be a Flea Market day, it wasn’t. Flea Market Days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week. That was a bummer.
No matter, as there is a really nice resort with indoor waterpark in Shipshewana. So we ventured northwest, we live in Fort Wayne, and took the kids to a great lunch, had a very nice carriage ride around town, then spent the afternoon and evening with the kids at the waterpark. I got some really great pictures of the days events. And, I found myself trying to apply the rule of thirds while TAKING the pictures rather than while editing the pictures. I’ve posted a few here, tell me what you think.

Ryan and Hannah, Shipshewana, Indiana
We arrived in Shipshewana just in time for lunch. There’s a really nice restaurant, the Blue Gate Restuarant, on the main road through town. It’s a HUGE restaurant with multiple dining rooms. And the food was really good. The above picture was taken out in front of the restaurant right after lunch.

The above picture is one of the landscaping and pond located in front of the restaurant. I was trying my hand at taking new and different photos. How’s it look?

Carriage for our carriage ride through Shipshewana, Indiana
Getting ready for our carriage ride. That’s my son sitting in the carriage. We had to have the white carriage as it looks like a princess carriage.

My daughter, waiting for the carriage ride to start. See why we had to have the white carriage? Someone’s got her convinced she’s a princess.

Wacky Wednesday?!
Here it is Wednesday, the last week of classes for summer session 2. And I’m going crazy. Is anyone else feeling this way? Two projects, major projects, to complete and feeling like there’s not enough time to do it all. Add into the mix that this summer has been riddled with vacations, camping trips, babysitting, and the like, I’m overwhelmed. VERY OVERWHELMED. I’m looking forward to the semester’s end. Is that bad? Man, I hope not. Man, I hope not. MAN, I HOPE NOT!
